AFFLUENCE vs TALENT

The gigantic world eyes you only if you are a mine of talents or a note printing machine(You probably know which note). The Supreme created an already stratified society by providing some with financial advantages & 'GIFTING' a handful others with something unusual. Some have the silver spoon & enjoy it,sometimes lousily too.But just then we get to see the exclusive talented ones who toil hard & cut thier way through to reach the summits of success. We can epitomize many of the latter type.

We all know about one of the world's richest man(maybe the second on the list),Bill Gates who opened his GATES to success & ran down his counterparts(though some still use OS other than WINDOWS).Then we have the "STEEL KING",Mr. Lakshmi Mittal, born in the sands of Rajasthan in a small, remote village(Sadulpur to be more precise) who is now a massive steel magnate(He is indeed an enviable man).Mr.Dhirubhai Ambani's father was a primary teacher. He himself was a small time worker with the Arabs before becoming India's biggest entrepreneur & laying the foundation of the immense and ever expanding Reliance corp. The simple reason behind this was he dreamt high & thus was able to concieve the mega project.

"START FROM THE GROUND TO REACH THE SKY"  was said by someone great(I guess it was me).

There is someone again whom we know, who may be of probable help here.Mr.Rajiv Bhatia or Akshay Kumar, the successful actor(is he?) as he is popularly known as. He was just a small time cook in Thailand before making it big into the glitz and glamour of the film industry."Rags to Riches" is suitably apt(mark the words "suitably apt") for him.

           Some other noteworthy people are:
  • Srinivasan Ramanujan, the man famous for his theorems(not amongst the students though)
  • Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the idol of many
  • Shane Warne, the master of spin
  • Adam Gilchrist, the ballistic batsman & former wicketkeeper of Australia(Indians hate this team,& after the CWC 2003,the graph has increased drastically)&.....

         H.W. Longfellow delineatedly says:

          "Heights attained by great men
were not attained in a sudden flight,
          But they,while thier companions slept,
Were toiling upwards in the night"

After this long article, you would have made up your mind. And I hope yours & mine will match.Of course I chose money.....(just sarcasm)

Sorry!!I forgot to mention the GOD of cricket,Mr. Sachin Tendulkar(how could I forget him?).He reached the pinnacle of success by shear hard work.No player in the world is even near him if it comes to his records.
